Review on Mary Kay Lip Primer and True Dimensions Lipstick

Swatch of Lipstick
Lipstick and Lip Primer

About a month back I was lucky enough to score these two products in a Giveaway that Mary Kay was doing during the Project Runway show. I have never tried anything by Mary Kay in the recent years so I was extra happy and excited to be able to try out these products and to give out my review on them.
The first product I received was the Mary Kay TimeWise Age-Fighting Lip Primer. This is the first time that I ever tried a lip primer before but after trying this product I think that all others are shadowed in what it does. Not only does it smooth out your lips but it also fills in those little lines that I'm sure everyone knows what I am talking about. It was also a really big help in keeping any lipstick/gloss that I put on my lips after I put this product on. This product will be a part of my collection for years to come and I have already recommended it to several of my friends and family members.
The second product that I received was the Mary Kay True Dimensions Lipstick Color and the color I received was Mystic Plum. Now as seen from the picture that I have provided at the beginning of this blog, this lipstick is very true to color and has an excellent pigmentation. I have never been one to wear such bold colors as I feel that they clash with my skin-tone but this one didn't seem to clash as well and I got many compliments on it. When I told them where the lipstick came from, many of them were shocked as it was such a bold color and since many were around my age they had always thought of Mary Kay as a company that tends to be for the older woman. Not that there is nothing wrong with that but it turns out that some women around my age tend to still think so. But after they saw the nice bold color of the Mystic Plum, I have no doubt in my mind that they will soon be ordering some of their own. Not only was the color bold but the lipstick itself went on very smooth and just seemed to melt onto the lips. Now with a bold of color as this, I worried if it would stain my lips but none of that occurred I am happy to report. I have worn this lipstick with the primer and without and neither does it fade as the day progresses and only required me to reapply it once throughout the day when I didn't wear it with the primer. But when I wore it with the primer, I didn't have to reapply it at all! So happy with these two products that I encourage everyone to go out and get one of their own to try!

Until Next Time!

Disclaimer: I was not paid to give my opinion on this product by Mary Kay. My opinion was of my own, and I received both of these products free during a Sweepstakes Giveaway.
