Product Review: Up & Up Angled Tip Cosmetic Eye Brush Set

Today I am going to give my review of the Up & Up Angled Tip Cosmetic Eye Brush Set. For those that do not know, Up & Up is a brand that is owned by Target, which is where I purchased this 6 brush set.
I purchased this brush set because I was in need of a small brush set that I could use for my sister's wedding. Speaking for myself I do not like to wear a lot of make-up and I usually find myself going without unless there is a special event that I must attend. My sister's wedding of course was such an event. And since I am also one that does not like to spend their money on expensive brushes, especially if I am not going to be using them that often then I felt that these brushes were just the right ones for me.

I found these brushes in my local Target's make-up section. Now these were not the only brushes that I saw that were from the Up & Up brand but for what I needed, this brush set was just want I needed. And they were not very expensive either, retailing at just $6.99 and they even came with holder to store them in for traveling and storage.

The set itself comes with 6 different brushes. An angled brush, a blending brush, a contour tip brush, a pointed tip brush, a standard eye shadow flat brush and the standard foam tip (I do not know the correct name for this and for that I apologize)

The brushes themselves are made very well and so far I have seen no fallout from the tips. They are not bulky so they are the perfect size to take in a travel bag, carry-on or even a purse for those touch-ups. The brushes only come in one color, which is the metallic silver but they are sleek and stylish. They are very easy to clean and again I have witnessed no fallout from any of the brushes. The case itself is very sleek and compact and has elastic holders where the brushes are held in place. The case has a velcro closure that does a wonderful job of keeping the case compact and the brushes safe.

The only complaint that I have with these brushes is that the case itself does become dirty easily but again that is to be expected. And cleaning it up isn't a real choir at all, all it takes is a simple make-up wipe.

As I said, the brushes maybe small but they do the job just fine for me. I would suggest these for a make-up beginner or even an make-up expert. I feel that these brushes should be in everyone's collection but again that is just my opinion.

Well that's it for this review! as with all of my other reviews, if you have any requests or suggestions then please leave them in the comments! :-)

Disclaimer: I am not being paid for my opinions. They are of my own mind and words. I have purchased the product that was reviewed here with my own money and the review is of my own.

My New Favorite Fall Fingernail Polish!

Picture from Google Images

Okay like anyone else I love painting my nails but since I have no fashion sense whatsoever, its hard for me to find a polish that works for me. Well about a month or so, I received a box of Samples from PINCHme. If you don't know what PINCHme is, its a free site you can sign up for and on certain days of the week for about an hour, they'll give out free samples that you can add to a sample box and receive. Its similar to Influenster but PINCHme doesn't give out so many full size products.

Anyway, I received a full size nail polish from Sinful Colors which was in the color Bordeaux (995). I have included a picture of the nail polish in the blog so that you can see for yourself the color.

The color to me was very dark and I couldn't imagine when or where I would wear it. Like I said, I don't have any fashion sense and I willingly admit this so I was admittedly a bit stumped as to when I would wear this. However, I was determined to wear it so I set it aside and just studied the color. The color to me is a very dark burgundy color so immediately I thought of Fall. The reason why I thought Fall when I furthered studied this color is that the tree leaves in the area in which I live, often turn very dark when Fall arrives.

Now when I received this nail polish, Fall was a bit away so I had to wait. Well I tried it today since October is just a few days away and I have to say that I am glad that I waited. I am so happy with the color of this polish that I plan on continuing to use it all during the Fall. To me, its the perfect Fall color. Its dark but not too dark and just seems to scream Fall as I look at it on my nails. The nail polish itself, is a wonderful product. The color went on smoothly after only one coating and didn't a second coating as the color was so full and gorgeous. I didn't even need to put a top coat on as when the polish dried, it holds a glossy look which I love!

I have never tried Sinful Colors Nail Polish before but I can say that if the other colors are like this one, then I can say that I need to add them to my collection! I have seen them at my local Dollar Tree and Target so I might just have to stock up on them.

Well that's all for this review and I wasn't even planning on doing a review today but I just had to share my thoughts about this nail polish.

Until Next Time!

Oh and before I forget - I apologize for the lack of pictures on my blog. My camera that I have now is not of good quality but I am planning on getting a better one in the next month so please bare with me! Thanks!

Opinion Outpost - My Honest Review

Photo from Google Search
Okay, so a few months now I have been using a site called Opinion Outpost. Now for those of you who don't know what this site is, its basically a site where you fill out surveys so you can earn points. Now with these points, you can get rewards such as gift cards and money sent to your PayPal.

Now like anyone else, when I first heard of this I thought it would be a complete scam. But I was in need of a way to earning extra money so I thought that I would go ahead and give it a shot. It was free to sign up for so I didn't have nothing to risk so I didn't see the harm.

I set up an account and started filling out surveys. It took a few days but soon I had enough of points that I could redeem money to my PayPal. Now once again, I was still skeptical that I was just wasting my time. But to my surprise I did indeed get money sent to my PayPal! Like immediately! Well that sealed the deal with me on this site. I've been doing it everyday since and I haven't regretted it at all.

I have only used two of the reward choices on this site: the PayPal one and the Amazon Gift Card one. Each one takes different points. With the Amazon Gift Card, you get a $5 e-gift card for every 50 points. With PayPal its $10.00 per 100 points. I've been using the PayPal one more than the Amazon one but like I said there are other rewards for you to pick from.

And also for every survey you do, you get 1 chance to win their quarterly sweepstakes which is $10,000! You can also have as many chances as you want because its based off of how many surveys you do.

Now it is also important that you keep in mind that you have to qualify for the surveys. Some you qualify for and others you don't. Also each survey is a particular amount of points and they take a particular amount of time to do. For instance there are some surveys that are 15 points but they will take you about 25 minutes to do. The surveys that are worth 5 points only take about 5 to 10 minutes to do. Now I don't mind doing the longer surveys since I just put on some music and lose myself in it; so before I know I've finished a few surveys.

Well I guess that's it for this post. I just wanted to share my opinion on my OpinionOutpost experience and to see if anyone else was interested in signing up! So feel free to check it out; I'll link the site below!

Until Next Time!

Update!

Just thought I would put up a quick update explaining about some new upcoming posts.
I have decided to put more effort into this blog than I had before. I plan to put up a new post once a week, possibly more posts.
Once again, the posts that I put up in which I give my first impressions and review on items/products are of my own thoughts. I am not being paid for by any company to write about their products. The products that I do first impressions and reviews on are either free samples that I get, products in monthly subscription boxes or products that I have went out and bought with my own money.
I also want to become more active on my YouTube channel but I can't make a promise that I'm going to be able to; as I am in college studying for my Bachelors' and that takes up quite a bit of my time so I doubt that I will be able to increase my activity on YouTube.
But this blog will be updated on a weekly basis, sometimes bi-weekly.
So please feel free to leave comments on products that you would like to see a review on. They can be products, TV-Shows, music, etc. I'm gonna try my best to make this blog a success for both me and for my readers!
Until next time!

AVEENO Positively Radiant - Targeted Tone Corrector Review

I received AVEENO Positively Radiant - Targeted Tone Corrector free from Influenster. My opinion is my own and I am not influenced in any way shape or form for my review.

#RadiantWithAVEENO

Now that the disclaimer is out of the way, let's get to the review shall we?

Like any Southern girl, I find myself in the sun a lot especially during the summer months. However, my skin just simply hates having an even tone no matter what products I use or how much I work to have an even tone. Now its not that noticeable to anyone other than myself really but still, its an annoyance at most. And in all honesty I had given up hope ever having an even tone, well I got my hope back! My hope came back in the form of AVEENO and I was not disappointed at all.
I am so glad that Influenster sent me this product to try out and review as I know have a new permanent product on my beauty shelf. I simply adore this product and the results that it gives me. I literally saw improvement in my skin in a week! And I'm not the only one either as I have been getting compliments from complete strangers asking me what I was doing to my skin to get such a nice glow on it. The results aren't the only thing I adore about the product. It comes in an easy to travel tube that doesn't take up much room at all, which is just an added plus. The smell is nice and not overly powerful which makes both my skin and my sinuses which are both sensitive to products that have overpowering scents. The product itself goes on smooth and leaves no residue and feels really nice going onto my skin.
I really do recommend this product to anyone who is looking for a inexpensive tone corrector. I have already suggested this to my sister who is getting married in a few months and she loves it! So please go out and purchase it for yourself and see what the results yield for you. :-)

How to Sell Broken Electronics on eBay

Now I can see that many people will look at this title strangely. But yes there are people that willingly buy broken electronics over eBay. Mostly these are tech-savvy people who know that they can repair them and they turn around and sell them. I have some tips on how you can successfully sell your broken electronics and have no trouble whatsoever.

1. Description
First and foremost, you must list that the item that you are selling is broken when you first list it. If not, the buyer can take legal action against you if need be. I personally have never had that happen and I wouldn't like it to happen to anyone else. Once you have said that the item is broken, describe how it is broken. Does it have a cracked screen? Do the keys not work? Details like that. This can also determine how many sellers you get. For instance, if you have an iPhone and the screen shattered and that is the only problem with it. Then that phone might sell faster than one that is completely broken and won't turn on. Replacing a screen can be easy if someone knows how. So be sure to describe in detail what the issue is.

2. Correct Listing
When listing a broken item, be sure that you list it "As Is" or "Use for Parts". These are the most common ways of saying that the electronic does not work properly and thus you cannot be held responsible if the electronic is broken when it arrives to the buyer, as you clearly stated that it was broken or not working properly before the buyer bought it from you. This is very important to you as a seller as negative votes can hurt your eBay standing, so you want as little negative votes as possible.

3. Photos

As with anything on eBay, photos are good to have when you are listing your items. When it comes to listing a broken electronic, it gives the buyer the visual of what exactly is wrong with the electronic if it has suffered damage on the outside that can be seen. This also helps buyers determine if they are willing to buy this item and fix it themselves within their means or if they should look somewhere else. As with the description, having a good picture can, and usually does, make or break a sell on eBay.

4. Price
Again next to photos, the price is the next biggest thing that could make or break your sell on eBay. When dealing with broken electronics, it is always important to remember that you are not selling the electronic in proper working condition so it would be unfair of you to price the electronic at a high cost when it is clearly not worth that. Now I am not saying to put all of your broken electronics up for just pennies, because you have to make money as well. But be conscious on how much you are going to charge for an electronic that doesn't work properly. For instance, I recently just sold an I-pod Classic for $25.00 because it wouldn't hold a full charge. Now I didn't buy it for that price but since it would not hold a charge, I didn't want to overcharge the buyer for something that did not work properly. Just think clearly whenever you list broken electronics and always think about how you would want a seller to treat you if you bought something that was in a broken condition.
