Product Review - Karma Water Probiotics

Hello all and welcome to another review!

I recently had the opportunity to try Karma Water Probiotics and I can't believe that I haven't tried it before now. Now for those that don't know Karma Water, it is essentially vitamin water but instead of being premixed; the vitamins are contained above the water in a push cap. So when one is ready to drink it, one can simply push the vitamins into the water and shake it up themselves. The reason for this design is because vitamins deteriorate in the water in premixed water; and in this way one can get the maximum amount of vitamins in your water. For those interested, I will include the link to the Karma Water website; so feel free to check it out.

Now I have tried Karma Water before having seen it on a trip to Whole Foods where my curiosity got the better of me and I just had to try it. And I never regretted it. The water itself is good on its own but when you add the vitamin powder to it, it just brings the taste to the next level. However this was the first time that I have tried any kind of probiotic or digestive health and I can't believe that it has taken me this long to try it. I have now started drinking it at least twice a week and I must say that I have noticed a great improvement. I haven't felt this good in a long time and I know it is thanks to Karma Water Probiotics.

The flavors that I tried were Strawberry Lemonade, Kiwi Melon and Tropical Coconut. (I will include pictures at the end of this review) I knew that I would love the Strawberry Lemonade as strawberries are one of my favorite fruits. But I admit that I was on the fence when it came to the other flavors, especially the Tropical Coconut. This is because I am not the biggest fan of coconut and as such I tend to stay away from products that have that flavor. But I was willing to take the chance with this flavor and I am so glad that I did. Not only was the coconut so subtle in this drink, it made me feel like I was enjoying a cool tropical drink on the beach. The Kiwi Melon was a bit on the tart side but it was still really good.

I learned that with me, I got the most out of these drinks when I drank them in the morning before I ate breakfast. But I also have a friend that drinks them as well but she says with her that she feels that it works better for her if she drinks it before she goes to bed. So I'm guessing it is different for everyone when it's best to drink it.

As I said previously, I am drinking two of these a week and I feel fantastic. My previous stomach issues vanished after a few weeks and I am content to keep them that way. There isn't much else that I can say about this product but I highly recommend that you go out and try it for yourselves. I mean what can you lose? And if you're not interested in trying out the Karma Water Probiotic line, they have a line for just overall health such as mental health and even a drink to help balance out your mood (one of my personal favorites I might add). And as I said earlier, I will link their website below as well as the pictures from the products that I tried.

Product Review - Tropicana Watermelon Juice

Since the end of March, I have completely cut sodas or any carbonated drinks out of my diet completely. And while I am loving the results, I find myself in search of something that has flavor but is not has harmful to my body as sodas are. So I've been trying a few non-carbonated drinks and I'm happy to say that I have quite a few of them that I have fallen in love with. The first being is what I'm going to review today, the Tropicana Watermelon Juice.

Now I'm not really a big fan of the Tropicana Orange Juice, mostly because it tends to give me slight heartburn so I stay away from it if I can. However, when I saw this juice in my local Dollar General; I admit that I was instantly curious. I wanted to see if it the drink would be overly sweet and whatnot. So I decided to give it a try and I must say that I wasn't disappointed at all.

The juice itself is not overly sweet at all, it is the perfect sweetness; at least to me it is. And much to my surprise it doesn't taste like someone just juiced a watermelon and put it in a bottle. There is some effort put forth in the making of this juice and I for one appreciate the effort.

And while there is only 90 calories per serving in this drink, serving size being 8 fl oz; it is the amount of sugar and added sugars that would prevent from drinking this drink as much as I would like to. The amount of sugar per serving is 22 grams and added sugar is also 22 grams. If you want to leave more about it, I will leave the link that I found out this information at the end of this review.

So while it is in fact a little healthier for one to drink when compared to sodas & other carbonated drinks, you still need to go easy on it when considering the sugar that is in it. Speaking for myself, I can't drink a full serving of this when I drink it. I usually only get about 4 fl oz or less due to the fact that not only do I not want to consume all of that sugar but I also do not want burn myself out on the drink itself.

Well that's it for this review, it was pretty short and sweet but the next one will be a bit longer as I am reviewing not just one product but a few from a company.

Product Review - V8 Energy Drinks

Since I have completely cut out all sodas (carbonated drinks) from my diet over the past 2 months, I have found myself in need to something that will give me energy; especially in the mornings.

While I do enjoy a cup of coffee now and again, I do not like to drink it every morning as it seems to mess with my digestion; so I have cut myself back to one or two cups a week and so far it seems to be working.

I have always struggled with getting my daily amount of vegetables. It has been a problem that I have been fighting for years because I honestly do not like vegetables of any shape or form. Well, that's not true as I am quite fond of corn but there is only so many ways one can eat corn until it gets old. Granted I have made discoveries of drinks that will help me reach my daily amount of vegetables, V8 being one of them and the other being Green Machine. But it was this new product from V8 that caught my attention. It was exactly what I was looking for and I was so happy to try it.

I have tried several of the flavors but by far my top favorites are the Peach Mango and the Pomegranate Blueberry. These two flavors I can't seem to get tired of and no matter what other flavors that I have tried, I always keep coming back to these two. They are the perfect mixture and even though you know that there are vegetables in the drink, you cannot taste them. I think that is perhaps the thing that I like the most is that I cannot taste the vegetables. Perhaps my taste buds will change over time to start to like the taste of vegetables.

I have now taken to drinking one of these drinks with my breakfast every morning in order for me to be fully alert for the rest of my day. I've been doing this for a few weeks now and I will never look back to my old routine. I feel more awake during the day after consuming this drink and I feel healthier because I'm getting some vegetables in me every day.

Well that's it for this review.

Product Review - Quest Cereal Protein Bars

Recently I tried some new protein bars that were based on cereal flavors. I have tried Quest bars before and there are some that I like and some that I do not much care for. So I thought I would give two of the flavors a try to see if I liked them. Well I liked one of them and the other one I did not care for in the least.

The first one that I tried was the Cinnamon Roll flavored one. Surprisingly this was the one that I didn't care for. For something that has cinnamon in it, it really was pretty tasteless; which surprised me to say the least. It was good and it was a good start to my day when I was in a rush out of the door and didn't have time to make me some breakfast. However I don't think that I will be getting this flavor anytime soon. Maybe if they change the recipe or perhaps add more cinnamon to it because it really doesn't taste like anything. At least to me, which I am aware that not everyone is going to have the same taste-buds as me. I would compare this flavor to that of a rice cake if I am honest, it had a little flavor but not the burst of flavor that I have come to expect from a product that contains cinnamon.

The second flavor that I tried was Waffle. Now this was the one that I expected that I wouldn't like cause I'm just not a fan of waffles. But I was surprised to say the least when I found that I liked the taste of it. Unlike the cinnamon flavored one, this one was bursting with a buttery flavor as well as that of syrup. It was very tasty and pleasing to eat. It went very well as a replacement bar for breakfast and it kept me full a bit longer than the cinnamon one. I can't help but wonder if it had anything to do with the taste being more pleasant to eat then the cinnamon one.

So between the two of them, I'd chose the Waffle flavored one. I know that there are a few other flavors available and I want to try them to see if I will like them. Cause I know that I'm going to get bored with eating the same flavor over and over again. But that's okay. Also sorry for the short review but there really isn't much else that I can say about this product.

Coffee Thins Expresso Review

For those that are looking for the perfect combination of chocolate and espresso, I'd like to introduce you to Coffee Thins. I was able to try out this product thanks to Spoon University and I quickly became addicted to these little delightful squares.

The chocolate itself comes in a pack of 3 individually wrapped squares of delight. The mixture is simply perfect with each chocolate square containing the perfect amount of espresso, I think it is roughly one shot in each bar. The chocolate itself is on the cheaper side of the spectrum, a little over $2 and the only place that I have been able to find it is at Wal-Mart. I mean I'm sure Amazon carries them to because let's be honest Amazon carries all things that are amazing and some that are downright odd. But I'm getting off topic.

The amount of espresso in each bar is enough to make one feel awake and alert. And I mean let's be honest, who doesn't enjoy the thought of eating a little chocolate in the morning or in mid-afternoon when you need that pick-me-up to get you through the rest of the day. Everyone needs that once in and while; and if you can get to experience the delicious taste of chocolate along with the pep that is espresso, who can say no to that. I know I can't.

Granted I will admit that I am a snob when it comes to chocolate these days, only really enjoying Cadbury, Ghiradelli and Godiva chocolate as all other chocolates seem inferior in taste and in texture. So I was a bit apprehensive when I first tried this as I thought I would hate the chocolate. But I must admit that even without the espresso mixed in with it, that the chocolate itself could hold it's on in the market. It's not too bitter and it's not too sweet, which is honestly hard to come by as it seems that chocolate tends to get sweeter and sweeter with every new product that gets put out into stores. So finding one that is a perfect combination and that does not cost an arm and a leg, is a great find in my opinion.

This review is on the shorter side because what else can one say about chocolate. But I do encourage you to go out and try it yourself, and if you don't enjoy it then I'm pretty sure you know someone who will enjoy it.

Until Next Time!

Moose Munch Gourmet Popcorn Review

I'm always on the lookout for new snacks, granted some of them aren't really as healthy as they could be but we do need to treat ourselves once in awhile in my opinion. Because let's be honest, life would get pretty boring if we ate the same thing day in and day out. At least for me that statement is very true.

I discovered this snack through Spoon University, a subscription box. They were offering free boxes for a limited time and these boxes would be filled with a variety of snacks. And since it was free to try, I couldn't really say no because once again everyone loves to get stuff free...especially snacks. Granted it took about a month for me to receive my box but I was more than willingly to wait to try out the new snacks that I haven't tried before. I did try several new snacks that I have never tried before so be on the lookout for those in upcoming reviews.

The first thing that I noticed about this popcorn is that it wasn't overly sweet. It was the perfect combination of sweet and savory. This is a problem that I have personally noticed with previous products that I have tried that are similar to Moose Munch. Perhaps it is my own personal taste buds but I often find products such as these to be overly sweet and I cannot enjoy them. The addition of the crunchy clusters gave the popcorn even more of a texture, one that was well appreciated. And also with the combination of the almonds and the cashews, it gave the popcorn just enough of that nutty flavor for it to compliment the combined flavors of the milk chocolate, the clusters and the popcorn itself.

What surprised me the most about this product was how filling it was. The bag that came in the box was a snack bag but I quickly found that just by eating only half of the bag that I was full. It was an odd feeling but one that wasn't unwelcome. It is hard to find a snack that is not only satisfying to eat but one that fills you up. I was full for several hours while I was out running errands after eating only half of the small snack bag. I like this fact because I feel like I can snack on this product before I have to go grocery shopping so I no longer have to worry about shopping while hungry. Because we all know what happens if one goes grocery shopping when one is hungry, you end up spending needless amounts of money on food that you didn't even plan on getting in the first place.

I cannot wait to try the other flavors of this gourmet popcorn. I do wonder if they offer a Holiday canister...hmm, something to look into for sure. Well that does it for this review,

Until Next Time!

Garnier Fructis Sleek and Shine Zero

Now I admit that when it comes to hair care products, I am a bit biased. The one true line of hair care products that have never let me down or disappointed me in anyway is Garnier Fructis. I have tried several other hair care product lines and while they do a good job, I find myself coming back to Garnier Fructis time and time again. By far out of any other hair care product line, it is the one that my hair responds best to and I don't see the point in changing that anytime soon.

So I admit that when I saw this new product line from Garnier Fructis for their Sleek & Shine products, I was admittedly over the moon to try out this product. This is mostly because out of all of the product lines, Sleek & Shine has been the absolute best for my hair. This is because my hair is not only naturally curly but it is very thick; so it goes to say that when it gets hot and humid, my hair reacts by getting into a frizzy mess. And I don't have to tell you how hard it is to manage frizzy hair, it can be a downright nightmare. But thanks to Sleek & Shine, I have been able to keep my mane under control which I have never been more thankful for a product line than I am with Sleek & Shine.

Now it needs to be said that I wasn't in the mind to try out this new line from Sleek & Shine when I first found out that it was coming out. But habits that I have been unknowingly changing since the beginning of this year prompted me to give it a try. I have been trying to use only natural hair care and skin care products; which the funny thing is, I had no idea I was even doing it! It actually took me a few weeks to even notice what products I was choosing and which ones I weren't repurchasing. Now I admit that picking out hair care products was the most difficult because I was really dreading giving up my Garnier Fructis for some other products that I weren't sure would even help my hair out a little. And by this time, I had completely forgot about the new line coming out from Sleek & Shine; so I was downright depressed when I ran out of my favorite shampoo and conditioner and ventured into the store to purchase some different products that I have never tried before.

But as I searched through the shelves, picking up this bottle and putting it right back; I was beginning to lose hope, nothing was catching my eye. My hope was fleeting and I was just about to give up and try another store when something caught my eye at the very last shelf on the end of the aisle. I was so happy that I couldn't barely contain myself, I couldn't believe that I forgot about this product coming out. I already knew that the product didn't contain any silicone in it, hence the name but seeing it in person, I literally cannot describe how happy I was. Sure it wasn't as natural as I could go but I am more than willing to make that decisions as some things aren't worth giving up just yet.

So I bought my new shampoo, conditioner and leave in serum and made my way back home with the my treasures. I have to say that this product line seems to work even quicker than the original Sleek & Shine.

I immediately noticed a difference just after one washing, my hair not only felt lighter and but it just felt more cared for. I'm not sure if it the absence of silicone or what but I have never been so happy with a result. I cannot recommend this product enough, it really does feel like my hair is now lighter than air. Even with using Sleek & Shine, my hair still felt a bit heavy but with Zero I don't get that heavy feeling at all. And as for the frizz...well, it's still there but not nearly as bad and I have noticed that the more I use these products, the more the frizz seems to simply vanish. I have no doubt that after a few more washes that the frizz will be completely gone which suits me just fine because frizzy hair during the summer heat isn't fun for anyone.

Well that does it for this review!

Product Review - Olay Ultra Moisture Coconut Body Wash

Today I am going to be reviewing the Olay Ultra Moisture Coconut Body Wash. I received this product as a late Christmas present and I have just now gotten around to trying it.

I'll be the first to admit that I am not a huge fan of coconut at all. I don't know what it is about it but the smell to me is less appealing than the taste for one reason or another. So I was a bit iffy about trying this product out because I didn't want to be surrounded by a powerful coconut scent.

However, I was pleasantly surprised that it barely smelled like coconut at all. To me it mostly smells like just a natural clean scent that doesn't overwhelm the senses but also a scent that lingers throughout the day after using it.

I loved how it made my skin feel soft and smooth after just one wash. The back of the bottle said that this would be the effect but like with everything else I didn't really believe what it said; due to previous products promising similar things. But with Olay I should have known better because Olay is one product line that has always delivered their promises time after time.

I also like that it's not overly moisturizing to the point that my skin feels greasy as it tends to be after using other products. Instead, my skin feels soft and smooth. I cannot wait to finish this entire bottle to see the result on my skin. The bottle itself is huge and there is a lot of product in the bottle. And as with any Olay product a little goes a long way so this product will last you a good bit. Speaking for myself, I've been using it for a good two weeks and I've barley reached halfway; and I take a shower daily so that should give an example on how much product there is.

Also since I tend to have sensitive skin, I have to be careful with products I use on it and this body wash isn't harsh at all nor does it break me out so in my opinion it is great for sensitive skin. But please be sure to check out the ingredient list to make sure that it will work well with your skin.

Well that's it for this review!

Product Review - Diet Snapple Singles-To-Go

Now let's all be honest with ourselves; we know that drinking water is good for us but I know for me personally that drinking plain water gets kinda boring after a while. And I'm sure that there are people out there that do enjoy the taste of plain water but I feel that a majority of people agree with me that the taste does get boring.

Luckily for me and people like me, this is where water enhancers and/or drink mixes come into play. Today, I'm going to reviewing one of these products. The product that I'm going to be reviewing today is Diet Snapple Singles-To-Go. I got this product a few months back and fell in love with the taste. My flavor of choice is the Lemon Tea; which is a blend of black and green tea. This packs this mix with antioxidants with vitamins C, E & A. And all-in-all, each packet of mix is only 5 calories!

I get mine from my local grocery store when it comes in a box of 6 packets for less than $1.00. And while this is a great deal, it has crossed my mind to purchase this product in bulk because I love the flavor so much. That and I know that I will not get tired of this flavor because I love both black and green tea. So the fact that I can drink a combination of both of my favorite flavors, I am happy and content.

There isn't much else I can say about this product other than recommending everyone to go and try it. And don't worry if Lemon Tea isn't to your taste, it comes in a variety of flavors!

Until Next Time!

Dollar Tree Product Review - Eye Pads

Today, I am going to be reviewing another dollar tree product. And this product is going to be eye pads. I've seen this product several times but I just never put too much thought into the effectiveness of it. However, my curiosity peeked finally and I decided to give this product a try.

The product itself is a simple design of a slim box. In each box there are two foil packets that hold two eye pads each. There were a couple of different options of eye pads but I chose the revitalizing eye pads; which came in a purple box. The eye pads were in an air tight foil packet as I said that was filled with the product. The application process took a mere few seconds and the eye pads stay on for 15 minutes.

When I first opened the foil packet, I was a bit surprised to see how the eye pads were kept. They weren't separated at all; instead placed together in the pack and soaked with the product. The product was a clear jelly like substance. There was no backing on the eye pads as with other eye pads that I have tried in the past. Like I said, both eye pads were soaked with this jelly-like product. There was so much product in fact, that I had to squeeze off the product in order to be able to place the eye pads under my eyes so that they wouldn't slip off. Now I'm not complaining about this amount of product, it was nice to have eye pads that were soaked instead of being so dry that they are stiff. However the amount of product made it harder to grab and maneuver the eye pads because they were so slippery.

After applying the eye pads, I immediately noticed the cooling effect. The eye pads themselves were soft and didn't have sharp/coarse edges that I have noticed seem to be a trend for other "cheap" eye pads that I have tried over the years.

I noticed that even after 15 minutes had passed, that the eye pads weren't hard or dried out. It still had plenty of product left on it so I feel that if one could figure out how to store these so that they wouldn't dry out; that maybe one pair of eye pads can be used more than once.

I was pleased with the instant results that I noticed after using this product. Not only did my skin look and feel healthier but I could also tell the difference in how tight my skin felt. Not bad tight though, but a tightness that one wants whenever one spends a bunch of money on a product that promises a younger look.

Another thing that I was pleasantly surprised was that it didn't break and/or dry out my skin. This is a pretty big deal to me because my skin pretty sensitive, especially when it comes to trying out new products.

All in all, I highly recommend trying out this product. I mean not only is this a great product but it's not like you are going to break the bank by purchasing it. So you really can't lose in my opinion.

Until Next Time!

Dollar Tree Product Review - Sure Scents Air Fresheners

Hello!

Today I'm going to be giving my honest review on an item that I found at my local Dollar Tree. I'm thinking about doing one of these at least once a week or more; so tell me what you guys think!

The item that I'm going to be reviewing is an air freshener product called Sure Scents. This item was of course only $1.00 and it was an 8 oz size product. They come in different scents and they all smell amazing to me! The scent I chose however was Apple Cinnamon and this was because I purchased a few of these back at the beginning of December. This was because I wanted to really have them in my home for a month in order to find out if they did a good job.

They didn't do a good job, they did a great job! The scent hasn't diminished at all and I have them all over my home in several seperate rooms. The scent is held within tiny balls that are very squishy. Sometimes I would swish the little balls around to increase the scent coming from them but overall I am very satisfied with this product. I also love how you can reuse the container because as time goes on the tiny scent balls disappear so all you have to do is replace them! And lucky enough Dollar Tree sells the refills! For me personally, I wouldn't buy one scent in a container and then refill it with a different scent but that's just me because I don't like to mix scents. But I wouldn't throw away the containers, I would reuse them if I could and if not, then recycle them.

My house smells so good and the scent balls are only halfway gone in a couple of the containers; so they last well over a month! And I have them in pretty big rooms. But I have noticed that the smaller room that I have place them in, the slower the scent balls disappear. So if you have big rooms in your home, my suggestion would be getting a few of them and placing them in areas around the room.

And let's be honest, you're only spending about $3 for a few products compared to spending about $3 for just one. And I will say that you are getting more quality by paying more for a product but let's be honest, everyone loves a deal. And I'll be honest, I'd rather buy these again and again because I love this product so much! I can't wait to see if they bring out different scents. Because from what I can tell from my numerous trips to the Dollar Tree, they always keep these in stock so that's awesome!

Well that's the end of this review, let me know what you guys think about me reviewing a Dollar Tree item every week or so. I have another Dollar Tree product that I'm going to be reviewing later on this week!

Until Next Time!
